The past and the personal history of every man is always a source of inspiration, and it is also for Dan Ridge, who when I was a boy the father and uncles were riding a 500cc KTM two-stroke, Maicon and Husqvarnas.
These memories have pushed him toward his design towards a classic-looking bike as he remembered the motocross before they became the ranger's power plastic, scary colored weapons.
Very much inspired by Roland Sands Kurt Casselli KTM build that coincided with the On Any Sunday 2 movie I decided to attempt a shed build version, using its ugly 2004 KTM 400 EXC.
"I love the idea of modern(ish) power plant and suspension but aesthetically looking like a vintage mx bike. I remember watching Bruce Browns 1971 On Any Sunday as a young boy and falling in love with bikes."
