1978 Honda CB836 “OL’Red” Vintage Streetfighter`by Gasser Customs
This bike started its life as a 1978 Honda Cb750F Supersport before the complete ground up build.
The frame was modified into the shape it is now, and other work needed to be done to adapt the rear monoshock design and the other features that were added for strength.
The single sided swing arm is a “one off” fabrication for this bike. It resembles a Ducati arm, but with dimensions specifically for the Honda frame.
A Yamaha inverted front end was chosen, and upper and lower triple trees were designed and made with proper geometry to blend handling and performance.
All aluminum metal work was done with inspiration from old WW2 aircraft photos provided by the client.
The engine was given a full rebuild with an increase in displacement to 836cc, aswell as many other go fast parts. Providing an increase of 20hp, which gives the bike amazing performance as it is also 50 pounds lighter than stock.
Rizoma and Motogadget accessories and electronics were used to finish the machines clean appearance. Lastly Ol`red was fitted with top of the line Marchesini wheels, and a custom stainless 4-2-1 GP style exhaust system to sound just as mean as she looks!
