Chrome 900 Cafe Racer
Donor Bike: 1981 Honda CB900F by 2 Wheels Miklos
The design brief was to build a muscular, elegant and rideable café racer.
To do this we decided to mate the very strong Honda engine and frame to much more modern Triumph Trophy 900 forks and front and rear wheels. Ohlins shocks, EBC Contour brakes, a Brembo Radial master cylinder, Maxxis tyres and Harris clip-ons rounded out the rideability aspect of the brief.
From a styling perspective important features are a chromed (by SilvaBronz) tank, a Kawasaki Z1 tail piece, a Norvil nose cone, Marving 4-into-2 header pipes plus in-house made mufflers and Moto Gadget bar-end indicators.
The air box has been replaced by pod air filters (with carb jetting to suit) and the resultant clean look has been further enhanced by fabricating a battery box (for the tiny Shorai lithium battery) to fit snugly under the tail piece.
The project is rounded off with a metal flake containing pearl white and black paint scheme which is very special when viewed in sunlight. This was done by Cycle Sprays.
