Back to the nineties | TT Supermoto

1992: Yamaha France asks Christian Caillon, racing mechanic of the brand, to build a supermot 'motorcycle for Stephane Peterhansel.
They made a Supermoto using the base of a YZ 500, a bike that left its mark in the memory of many enthusiasts, and even those of Motorieep seem to have not been forgotten.
Taking a cue, they created a Supermoto inspired by that of the champion

Starting to work on the basis of a Yamaha TT, numerous modifications have been made. The engine was kept original only in the lower part, then gearbox and clutch, while the upper part of the thermal comes from an XT 660 specially prepared to develop more power.
New intake and supply system, as well as a dedicated electronic control unit
The rear aluminum swingarm instead is a 750 YZ1.
The superstructures created for the project copy the lines of the YZ as well as the colors
The braking system now boasts a front brake caliper with radial connection, obtained thanks to the change in the fork leg
