Killer CBX Restomod

Here it is, after a year of construction by DB Customs, the 1979 Honda CBX Restomod.  This build is for a customer in upstate New York.

He has owned this bike since it was new and has a bit of an identity crisis, the customer LOVES the CB985F EVO they built him a couple of years ago, and so he wanted his beloved CBX to get the same dB Customs treatment included a completely rebuilt engine.

Carbohydrates are JB Power's Keihin FCR flatlides, as are the incredible 6-1 titanium exhaust and billet footpegs. Ignition is an Ignitech V96 box with gray 2.2 ohm Dyna coils.

Suspension is OHLINS all around with billet Brembo calipers and RCS levers. The wheels are in Dymag CA5 carbon fiber with Avon Spirit ST tires and the swinger is by OVER Racing.

The indicator and all indicator lights are from KOSO and we have upgraded the switches to modern units.

The paint is all original, however the side panels have been updated with hydrographic carbon fiber (from Sketchs Ink) to match the front fender.

When they received the bike, it weighed 275.5 pounds in the front and 272.5 pounds in the rear for a combined weight of 548 pounds. NOW the bike weighs 238.5lbs in front and 226lbs in rear for a total weight of 464.5lbs (a loss of more than 80lbs since we received it). This is a killer CBX!
